The NOVA Heat AAU Basketball Program – Building the Standard in Competitive Basketball

 

Currently the program consists of highly talented 8th, 9thand 10th grade boys' teams with all players representing the ideals of:  teamwork, desire, selflessness, determination and leadership.  All of the athletes were purposely recruited to become a part of the NOVA Heat basketball experience with each having a very high basketball aptitude and a contagious attitude. Needless to say, all represent the very best basketball athlete the Northern Virginia area has to offer.

NOVA Heat 14U Wins Big Shots DC Assault Championship

The 8th Grade U14 NOVA Heat team coached by Ray Copeland won the Gold Championship at the Big Shots tournament the weekend of April 13-14, 2013. The team started slowly in their opener on Saturday losing to the PG Bulls 31-49. However, they won their next game against Basic 1st Basketball 68-30 and earned a 4th place ranking in the Gold Bracket.

On Sunday, NOVA Heat defeated the first place seeded Advanced Hoops. Advanced Hoops had easily defeated its two opponents on Saturday by margins of no less than 25 points. NOVA Heat started the game strong, jumping out to an early 10 point lead and never looked back.

The most elite basketball players absolutely love to play basketball. They want to play 24-7. They always have a ball in their hand and they are always trying to get up shots. They would rather play basketball than do just about anything else. When they aren't playing basketball they are watching it on TV or playing it on Playstation3. And most of them have been this way since they were little.
